Is there non-toxic shot availible in Canada?

The last I saw SIR stocked bismuth shot, and since they're Cabellas now they should still have it. You mean a jug 'o' shot for reloading, right?
Steep, about 50$ for a couple pounds.

Wil Bilozir purchased the rights to manufacture bismuth in North America, so no one else is making it, for legal reasons.

But, I have yet to hear that he has been able to produce any successfully. If so, then he is not making it, for technical reasons.

Therefore nobody is making it.

When Bismuth shot was last available it was about about $160 for 7 lbs in Canada and over $100 in the US. (that was when the Canadian $ was very low)

Current price of raw Bismuth metal is about $15 a pound !!!!!!!! A couple of years ago, it was in the $4/range. We are not going to see shot made from bismuth anytime soon because of the cost of the metal.

Look for suppliers of Hevishot.

But, at least it's on the way down...

Actually I didn't mean Hevishot, but a Tungsten Matrix like Kent uses. The TM is in a plastic binder material so it can deform a little when going through a choke, Hevishot won't.

Since bismuth shells are hard to find, we usually shoot the Kent, Tungsten Martix through our older doubles

Bismuth is on the way down because China had horded a lot of it.

I've contacted Will Bilozir and will be getting his prices soon.
I did however find a contact in China for bismuth and they want $41.80/Kg shipped to the nearest International airport.

Thanks for the info guys.
