Is this .22LR "legal" up here?

Found this on a US forum, where freedom seems to be (still) abundant. I was wondering if we can get it up here in Kanukistan and, if so, who carries it. Thanks! :)

You could also search the firearm database for that model to see if there are already people owning them.

I'm sure if you ask someone from firearms canada or CBC they'll freak out, say it looks like an AR, thus tactical and quite illegal. In reality however, I don't know. Interested, though.

The first thread was on the .223. If I recal it was GTG with the CFC but the US would not issue permits as it was not a sporting rifle.

This is the .22LR variant and I don't see why it would be 100% NR up here.

Interesting... The sucker in the pic I posted sure looks like it could fire while being folded, lol!

It's be awesome if some dealers here could import any of these beauties into our beloved land of royal subjects. I'd definitely be interested in one, provided that it is non-restricted.

:)

nothing on the FRT on that model
shows SU 16, nothing for SU 22

Yup, I checked too. No FRT on the online database for SU 22.

An FRT could be assigned for it. Until it gets an FRT there's no way to know it's classification.

However, I seem to remember something about problems with the export permits on these. There was a thread a few months ago about a dealer actively pursuing kel-tec. I don't remember much about it and I don't know anything else. I'm sure a search can find it.
