I recently purchased an Enfield rifle US M-17 in 30.06. Nice clean bore and good tight action on it. I went to a local dealer here for cartridges, and the clerk recommended a cheapo' brand since it's only for target practice. Has anyone heard of or used Igman brand ammo' before? It's manufactured in Bosnia-Herzogovina, and it just doesn't seem the same as the Federal or other name brands that I use in my 1911 .45 or even in my old SMLE .303? Feedback, anyone?

I bought some Igman 8x57 ammo (wish I had bought more!) It was 198 grain SP hunting ammo. It turned out to be accurate, faster than commercial 170 grain ammo (2590 fps) and I did not find this ammo to be dirtier than any other 8x57 ammo I have shot. That M17 should be agreat rifle if it has a good bore! Regards, Eagleye.
