Is this a good price?

I am very new to the shotgun world. I have only ever bought and shot slugs. Tonight I decided to buy some target shells for trap. I was in at Walmart and found 2 boxes of 100 shells of Winchester Super Target 12ga 2-3/4" 1200fps 1-1/8 oz. 7-1/2 shot. The price after tax worked out to $.33 per shell for 200 rounds.

Is that a decent price?

thats pretty average.

i pay $70+tax for a flat of the same stuff. 10 boxes of 25 shells each (250 rounds total) so thats $0.28+tax each which comes to $0.3164 per shell.

That works out a wee bit more per box than a flat(10 box case) price depending where you buy. If you are in southern ontario near Caledonia you can pick up target loads at Lawry Shooting Sports for around $66/flat. Those same loads here in the west are being sold anywhere from $10-$15/flat more!!

Out west they are average about $75/flat on sale... now they are hovering around $80 or so unless you snag a good Ammosupply deal and grab em for 69.99

I bought a case of Gun Club 20 ga. in Whitehorse for $7.50 + tax per box.

Here in Québec, never pay more thant 55-59$ for a case of 250 (10 box) 7 1/2 or 8...
but i have to pay two taxes.............. ;(
