Picture below of two boxes of CCI Quiet-22 and two boxes of CCI Standard Velocity - bottom boxes have additional strip that says "TARGET".

So, are they just different era's, different labels, different advertising, or are these actually different rounds to each other - Quiet versus Quiet Target and Standard versus Standard Target?? The labels seem to indicate same bullet weight, same muzzle velocity - what is the difference, if there is any?

To verify look at the sku number to see if they match. Probably will.

Yep - they do! - thanks for the suggestion - see photo below - STD Target and STD are the same sku; Quiet-22 Target and Quiet-22 are the same sku.

The Standard Velocity in the plastic trays is made at the Idaho plant.
What comes in the paper boxes is made under contract, probably by Federal in Nebraska.

CCI Brand is considered better than the paper box generic.

And don't throw the plastic trays away when empty. I use to collect them from the garbage bins at the range to. I move cardboard ammo into them and tape the box top to the lid. But that is a me thing.

Yep - is a "me thing" also - have been doing that for a few years (decades?) - sometimes much handier to slide that lid back and to tilt out 5 rounds or 10 rounds from holes in a tray, then it is to root the same number out from a partial box - depends where you are, and how many hands that you have free - seated at a shooting table or standing out in a gopher pasture.

The boxes marked target are newer production .with the box marked for the intended use of the ammo.the new velociter box I believe is marked varmint as are the stingers.ps velociters are actually marked small game .

Seeing as they're the same thing as one another, were the prices the same?

Most definitely not!!! The stuff with the "Target" strip on them was bought at Canadian Tire this past winter - the stuff without that strip were bought from a CGN guy on the EE. But I could see how someone like me that did not know any different, might think the ones with the "Target" stripe on the label were "better" to get?? I presume when the retailer orders more of it, is so many units of whatever SKU, that is getting ordered.
