I'm considering this AR180B-2 in a trade. I have been reading up on them and they have a weak spot at the front hinge pin area of the lower receiver. In this picture I was sent it almost looks like a crack is developing behind the pin:
Is this AR180B front hinge pin area cracking?

I have only heard of this happening a couple of times, and the weak spot would be the opposite side of the hinge, so that would not be where the crack would happen.
These guns are extremely reliable, I assume you are getting the gun off of the guy who wants to trade his on the EE. I know he just got the gun, and he had many questions about it, I guess all the CGN fearmongers talked him out of it! Too bad, they're great guns!

Thats what I was thinking, a crack would probably form towards the top or front.
That's where I've seen them all. The top or front of the hinge area.
Also, that was only a small "batch" was it not? Poor mixing probably of the composite. Other than the few I have read/heard about, not an issue (except for the poor guy that has one of the bad ones, and can't figure out how to fix).
