Alright well since I didn't find a way to delete this post here is what I was talking about.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Onamu2mAwkg

I went to shoot the gun for the first time a few days ago at the clay shooting range, when I brought it back I took it appart to clean it from the industriel stuff which I didn't have time to clean before shooting. And by took it appart I mean I just took off the tube, bolt, bolt rail appart, didn't touch the trigger group at all.
Now I'm 99% sure that hammer wasn't loose like that before I went shooting... I played around with it, moved it around in all sorts of direction and the hammer wasn't dangling by itself.
Anywho, I made another service call to franchi, so should hear from them in the next few days. I swear I'm the unluckiest guy when it comes to firearms...

I saw this post yesterday .what the OP was showing was the hammer of his franchi affinity 3 had free travel when in the fired position . no idea if that is normal for an affinity 3 . any of the auto loaders i have the hammer is held against the back of the bolt by spring pressure until the hammer is returned to the cocked position .

Yep, something must of broke off when I went shooting...

Like I said, I did not take out or touch the trigger group at all. I'm gonna wait for what stoeger says. But there is there a part who is not doing what it should be doing by not keeping the hammer under tension when triggered.

Hey there. Just chiming in on this post. I just got home with brand new Affinity 3.5 Elite and mine is doing the same thing. What did Stoeger say about this?

If the bolt is out, the hammer will swing farther forward, the firing pin is the hammer stop, that's why most manuals say don't pull the trigger group out and fire the cocked hammer, that will break something.
