Just kidding, for God's sakes take your finger off the reply key!! Just thought some of the newer fellas might like to see this. I found this at the range the other day and thought what a great visual reminder it is to take your time! Its a factory Winchester white box 9mm that appears to have been a victim of a slamfire:eek: . Luckily nobody or any gear was damaged, but I am sure it turned a few heads.

Good luck and remember to READ BEFORE YOU FEED your reloads..Guessing is very expensive.

granted that's a bit unusual- i've shot thousands of rounds open bolt and had the head swell up like that, esp from the uzi , but not usually that far up the case- it's usually confined to the head area- even the factory stuff - i've also seen stuff just discharged from a stirling that looked similar, but again in the head area

This has nothing to do with reloads.. will happend in factory ammo to.
Case was fired when it was half in the chamber.

The header of the post was meant to be an attention getter. I thinks its fairly obvious that one would not attempt to even consider reloading this.

No mention of it being a reload or intention to suggest. The point of the exercise is to be a visual example of some of the things that can happen. The reference to reloading was to stress that one takes the time to do research on their own or heed the advice of those with experience and not guess, or they may discover strange occurrences more catastrophic than this example of a slamfire(nothing to do with reloading as a cause).
