So, I think I'm improving a little with changes to the gun (Savage 110 BA 338LM) and testing some different loads.

Changes to the gun were to remove the monopod on the buttstock and simply use a sandbag/rest (the pod gave it too much play horizontally) and a shorter bi-pod to work with the sandbag height.

I spent Sat aft playing with Retumbo coupled with HDY 225 gr SSTs and 285 gr Match BTHPs and didn' thave much in the way of decent groupings.

Sunday I made up some loads with 7828 and H1000 and the same HDY SST and Match bullets and had some pleasant surprises in how they worked for me.

I was able to shoot 2 groups under 2" (at 200 yds) with the H1000/SST combination and 3 with the 7828/SST combination. I was a little surprised that i couldn't get a good grouping with the 285gr BTHP, but wil certainly try again with that combo, maybe just increase he charge a little.

So, if I have the MOA thing down right, <2" at 200 yds is < 1 MOA correct??

Yup. 1.05" @100, 2.10" at 200yards.

Also measure outside of bullet hole circumference then deduct caliber diameter for center-to-center measurement.
