Is this too much

seems a little pricey for not having anything done to the actual rifle, i.e usgi parts - bolt, sights, op rod spring, spring guide, stock, etc.

scope is nice and fancy, but does not affect the firing characteristics of the firearm.

but this is just my 2 cents.

I'd get it... the ARMS#18 mount is $ 200ish plus shipping and taxes. The scope looks like (maybe I'm wrong) an Elite 4500X or something like that (maybe $ 500 upwards). If I was someone who wanted that specific kinda package, it's reasonable given the prices and time taken to accumulate and mount, then sight it in.... Then I would mic it's chamber to see what kind of size it is, drop in my USGI SA bolt and then re-measure the cases after test firing. Who knows what kind off accuracy potential exists ? Too early to judge, but that's my 2 cents worth. :D

The problem is, Hungry, that he lists it as a "tactical" scope... I'm pretty sure if you have a mid-to-high-end scope, you know EXACTLY what's in between the scope rings...

And I'd be hard-pressed that those rings are going for twin-hundred's.

I am 95 % sure it's a buschnell Elite 4200 # 426245T (I have the same), it's 800 $ and more + mount 200 $ + M14 + shipping 40 $ = 1500 $, think 1200 $ is a good price.

"I can shoot at a 10" steel gong AT 300M effortlessly." Notice the word hit is not used, I can effortlessly shoot at a target at 3000 yards couldn't hit it though.
Haha, nice catch.

@OP, I'd ask him if he's willing to sell the rifle on it's own and, if so, how much he'd knock off the price. If the scope is, in fact, the Bushnell Elite that some have suggested, he should have no trouble finding a buyer for it by itself. At the very least, confirm what the scope is before buying!
