Hello everyone,

I know there is some 80's manufactured Chinese x39 that is actually non-corrosive.

Based on the crate markings - what is the possibility?

I am going to purchase a package of 20 rounds loose to get a headstamp.

Please advise.

I followed that link to check out their Tokarev ammo. Interesting that they describe Czech S&B ammo, but they show pics of Russian 1977 surplus crates and tins. Anyone know what they're actually shipping???

How are buying 20 loose rounds from a sealed crate anyways? And how will you know if it came from the same crate?

The 20 loose packs are laquered grey - so not Chinese.

I am not going to pay $300 plus tax to find out.

I guess I will have to keep cleaning after every shoot or buy some Barnaul FMJ.

Heyy, I was going to make a thread, but maybe someone here knows if there has been any reported bad batches of Czech 7.62x39? I went to shoot this ammo & I got 6 failures out of 15. The rifle is fine, I had some Norinco & all of that went bang. Here is the culprit, anybody know if anyone else had any bad experience with this particular ammo? Thnx!

I have never had problems with the Czech stuff , the odd FTF that fires the second time around but few and far between. 6 out of 15 is a bad ratio for sure.

I have a case of 7.62x39 that I got from Marstar over 10 years ago. It was supposed to be non corrosive. It was in green cardboard boxes of 20 mounted in stripper clips and looks identical to the stuff in the picture. I have shot a lot of it, but I clean the guns that shoot it right after use. I have seen no signs of corrosion, but that may be because of the cleanings. I can't say if it is corrosive or not.

I tried to re-fire a few of the rounds..no luck either. Lucky I only have about 100 or so rounds of this crap! Picked it up at a gun show a year ago. Boxes look intact etc. I'm going to try another box this week & see. Thnx for the replies. Cheerz .. ~

What rifle are you shooting it out of?

Likely to be laqueured Czech corrosive.
