Hello, I am looking to start a discussion on my ISHY. I looked through the recent posts and did not see much. I figured that because of there status they don't get much press. I kept mine for years to maintain my 12(5) status and have recently been working on it and have some questions. Mostly about parts and identification. Also to talk with other enthusiasts. There must be a few out there.
It came to me in pieces in a box and I reassembled it. It is complete however I have a few minor issues. The only dust cover I found has a high rise scope rail and seems a little tight when installing. also the cutout in the cover dose not line up perfectly with the cutout in the upper. Its nice though, high enough to see through with the irons. Can't find rings to fit it in my rummage box as the rail is smooth and all my rings have a cross bolt. Wondered if a standard dust cover is available and maybe a bayonet. I understand Indian ones are pretty scarce, would any one fit?. I will post a picture soon and would be interested in seeing others.
I have more questions but I don't want to be long winded. Hope to hear some info.

The scope mount you have is most likely the night vision mount for the C1A1. Any Commonwealth bayonet should fit, they come up in the EE every so often.
 
I honestly don't think your going to get much responses no matter where you post it other than I used to carry a FN-C1 or I want a FN-FAL.

The reality is unfortunately there isn't much hands on knowledge of the platform in Canada other than Canadian military service, which also means any other specific variants tend to be in the shadows.
