Great pics , can you tell us a bit more about the Seneca run and the stake shoot ?
The Seneca run was a timed event on the 100yd.range.Starting on the firing
line you ran 25yds downrange,set a leghold trap & fired at a big target.Then
you ran another 25yds down, set another leghold & fired on a smaller target.
Finally, you ran another 25,emptied taxidermy out of a trap & fired on a smalltarget. The first miss disqualified you.3 out of 15 finished and went
to the clock to determine the winner.

The Stake shoot had 4 teams of 4 shooters.(1 flinter on ea. team)
4 wooden 2"X4"stakes were drove into the ground @ 25yds
A 2"line of black paint was across the middle of each stake.
Each team shot at the black mark until one of the stakes tops
severed and fell over.

As for the Ped. it is starting to work better. It needed some alignment (hammer-nipple)& some metal taken off the nipple(s)in the lathe to
make it reliable.

Thanks Jed, I like your Seneca run, might try that at our range :D
Our stake shootis smiliar, we use hanging 4x4's witha chain on the bottom to control some of the swinging.
Ever try a candle shoot ? Costs a Loonie to get in,and each time you miss,it costs a loonie.Last person takes the cash.Works best if you use a smoothbore.

Cheers nessy.

You forgot to mention that the candle is in a box to reduce flickering in the breeze and that it is shot at night with no light other than the candle :>)

cheers mooncoon

Thats sounds good! So far I've only come across flaming candle targets
printed on paper. Some of the 25yd. novelty targets that weekend were
a hanging chain,an axe-head between 2clay pigeons(1ball for 2targets)
and call your choice of small hanging skeets.
