So i just picked myself up an iPhone

and picked up iSnipe too.. was recommended by a mate.

just curious if there are any other apps people can recommend that are essentials or non essentials or just items of interest.

( i guess no apps are essential.. since people have been shooting LR since long before the iPhone :D )

I just picked up shooter ballistic. Made by Bryan litz and is awesome. I have bullet flight by knights and ballistic fte and both are great. Shooter ballistic has a really nice bullet library, and real data entry corrections. So if you throw in your data for a bullet profile with velocity it will give you your come ups, then when you go shooting you can input data at known ranges and what your actual come up is and it will correct your velocity and ballistic profile to match your load better. It's a really good app and is only 9.99

I use the JBM calculator for iphone. First time I used it was yesterday. I sighted in at a 47 yard zero, entered my data into the phone, grabbed the current conditions. Clicked my scope up to the 400 yard setting and hit a 16 inch gong on the first shot. I was very pleased with that.

Always been an iSnipe guy but I just tried JBM for iPhone...WOW! Very cool it lets you print off range cards and email them etc. Lots of other things you can fiddle with as well!

I have both Isnipe and Bulletflight by KAC. I find I tend to use the KAc app much more because it's very quick to find comeups for various distance and windage. Both priced about the same.

I have Isnipe. I paid for it, installed it and it worked decently. Then a few months ago it doesn't work. I'm going to try installing the upgrade and see if that fixes the problem. Right now the only thing I have is an icon on my phone. The actual program isn't doing anything.

For blackberry guys I use GunSim. It is fairly basic in presentation, using txt entry and graphs, but there is a substantial library of ballistics info. Information for factory loads as well as BC's and information on all larger and many smaller bullet manufacturers offerings. Almost every variable can be entered manually into calculations
It offers calculations for moving targets, and even Coriolis Effect as well. Not a shiny app, but it is loaded with features.

I use JBM. it's just got so much extra stuff in there. A converter for my mil-rad ranging reticle, coriolis calculation, and pretty much every factory load you can find on the shelf, plus a ton I've never heard of.

It's on the higher price scale, but it really does everything.
