I did some of my first reloads for 17 Fireball (20gr V-Max) and thought I'd post a pic for size perspective and put one on a quarter and took a few pics.

What kind of powder charge do these little guys take?

From what I've read guys say they can spot their hits even at 16x. Those crows that hang up at 200+ yards are so going to get it this year. I was looking at some ballistics tables online and shooting 1" high at 100 yards is something like -.4" at 200 yards and about -4.2" at 300 yards. On a calm day that should be good enough for gophers.

I only have Benchmark sitting here and 20gr is the max from Hogdgon's website. There are some other powders that go about 16-17gr max with Hogdgon's load data. For some reason I've been wanting one of these for a few years and am glad I finally got one. Cheap to shoot, low recoil and being able spot your hits really appeals to me. Especially the cheap to shoot part. Barrel life is supposed to be excellent too.
