ISO Marlin SBL 1895 safety delete kit

I posted a WTB in the hunting and sporting rifle accessories section a couple years ago and had the piece in hand not even a week later. Might be worth a shot if you haven’t done so already!

I tightened the set screw. Worked fine, can't move it to safe now. Also some will grind off the protrusion and cut slots to make it look like a screw. An oring can be used as well.

I have bought 8 over the last 2 years, All from BEARTOOTH MERCANTILE , You can order Stainless or blue, Usually takes a week to get to northern BC, from Cody Wyoming They mail the same day or next day of order. Also sell all kinds of Extras for Marlin Rifles.

thanks Donald , I was looking at their sight but couldn't get an answer on cross boarder shipping.
Also , did you compare it to the original ?? just wondering if the notch couldn't be milled out if that is in fact the difference ?!
thx Ed

I wonder if there could be any liability issues with deleting the cross bolt safety on a levergun...

The safety delete cost $19.00 American, shipping is super fast, keep all your old parts when and if you sell rifle. No problem! Never had a order stopped at border, for a $19 sight.

I've had a lot of lever guns ,only a few with a crossbolt safety, why would you want to delete the safety?just for looks,or for fears of forgetting the safety is on at crunch time
