I got them along with some m14 sniper rifles with Israeli contract Leatherwood 3x9 ART rifle scopes when I was in Israel back
in the day. The k98 optics have the Germans reticle.
These were purpose built rifles at FN in 308

This thread is a gravedig to be sure, but I wasn't even aware of the existence of these rifles. Absolutely fascinating find.

A thread worth reviving. They should have garnered more interest the first time up. They're pretty hard to find in original condition and a neat piece of history for sure.

I went to look at a warehouse of military equipment and found the sniper rifles leaning against a crate.
I have ART 3x9 scopes and didn't even know that the Israel's contracted for 3x9 ART M14 rifle scopes.
But, there they were with the military M14 rifles and two 98k 4x sniper rifles..
So, I bought them all
