I love Galil's. I ran an SAR during a carbine course in Texas and it was amazing. Great quality, accurate and ran flawless.

The most beautiful service rifle first issued 1973.
I was told IDF started to replace them in a big way after the 1982 war in Lebanon.
I guess when you get M16A1s for free, you don't have to pay for anything else. Same with all that free ammo via the American rapid deployment ammo stash.
They got Congress to agree to give it up !
