I have been in touch with western gun parts in regard to a trigger for an Israeli k98 Mauser in 7.62. They advise that they carry Timney triggers but are not sure if they fit the Israeli Mauser. Anyone know if there is any thing unusual about the Israeli rebuilds which would make using the standard Timney trigger a problem ? Also is there any fitting to do ? I did a Mauser trigger years ago and it just went in no trouble.

I'm not an expert. The few Israeli mausers I have seen wore the original trigger. The Israelis converted some different makes of Mausers - FN, German k98, etc., so there may be variations possible in an "Israeli" mauser. WGP is just doing a bit of CYA in the event you have something weird, is my guess. If it's a K98/Israeli the regular 98 mauser trigger should fit.

I have one and I love the trigger it came with and felt no need to trick it out. One day I dropped in another 98 bolt though and it changed the trigger pull all together so I put the one it came with back and never looked back. It seemed the other bolt caused it to become a single stage trigger as apposed to the sweet pull I had with the one that was matched with the rifle.
