isreali k98 mauser question / STRIPPER CLIPS ?

I currently own 2 isreali mausers, still in military issue stocks , both in 7.62mm ,

now
one i can reload with 5 round 7.62 stripper clips and the other k98, those same stripper clips dont fit in the guide .

were some k98s altered and other not? or is the problem the stripper clips themselves.

is there a proper isreali issue stripper clip????

any info most welcomed ...........

any cure to the problem or fix ...........not wanting to bubba anything just curios .!!

Who was the manufacturer of each receiver? Codes?

I have several Israeli Mausers chambered in 7.62 Nato, I use the standard 8mm Mauser stripper clips in all of them. To the best of my knowledge there were no dedicated 'Israeli' stripper clips just the original 8mm Mauser version which works with the 7.62 Nato round.

I have Czech stamped Israeli K98 and charger guides are altered so I can't use any stripper clips.It looks like the 2 small welds were made in channel guide and well filled down so nothing interferes with operation of rifle.

Mine is in 308W with Israeli barrel,at least it has Israeli stamps on it.

I use 8mm stripper clips.

ok so 8mm clips would appear to be my easiest cure i shoot 8mm so ill give it a try and should be good to go. thanks all.
