I’m wondering if anyone here has removed the side and/or bottom rails from their MK22 and if so, are the screws only holding the rails or are they part of the internal assembly. I can only find an example of the side rails being removed from a real SCAR and the bottom rail could not because it’s connected to the barrel assemble...or something like that. The side rails make it too wide and would be great to get rid off.
The exploded view in the manual shows the parts but not if they are connected to anything else.
