With the various "issues" the ISSC has been plagued with, is it safe to say a new MK22 will be "good to go" out of box? As in, all the issues have been sorted out? What should I look for or consider with a new model?

Got mine a few months ago, new from a dealer and it was GTG out of the box. Cleaned barrel, sprayed some oil in the action.

Ok thanks, only asking because I've read about issues with FTF's and something about the bolt needing replacing on some of these or something (?)

Have had mine since May of this year and have had no issues with it. You can get a kit from ISSC for free that solves a lot of potential issues that people were having as well. I love mine and I am glad I bought it.

What are the specific issues people have been experiencing?

Just bought one from Canadaammo. Build date March 2013. It has the new update kit already installed.

Most common was light strikes. The kit that ISSC sends out for free fixes the potential issue. Mainly had to do with the screws holding the action in place coming loose I believe, I havent had that issue myself. The first versions also had too short of screw in one area, that has since been replaced with a longer one as well as a washer. There are a couple good threads on here about fixes for the first version. The newest ones all have the fixes out of the box. Not sure if the latest come with the kit preinstalled but its for free from ISSC and they pay for shipping as well. Its a great rifle, just got a bad rap because of the issues it had when it was first released.

The fix is really easy to do. I was having TONS of light strikes, but installing the washer (like in all of the fixes described online) worked like a charm. It will chew and spit out anything I feed it now, even those square-headed Yellow Jackets. I'm really happy, because I have an ammo can full of cheap federal that I thought I was going to have to sell!

I love mine. Put the new mod in this fall and havent had any issues. Last time out with it I had some feeding issues but that was because I had over 1000 rounds though it since the last time it was cleaned.
