Has anyone have any issues with this rifle so far? just purchased one and took it to the range, got one too many issues with miss feeds and jams. after about 300 rounds i had a bulled exploding in the chamber half way in to the barrel, half the casing is now stuck in there. i was using Remington golden bullets, technically it is not bad ammo at all.
Please let me know if anyone has experience any issues, ISSC is supposed to be a good make...

Mine has also been having many many issues including:
- rails coming loose
- adjustable stock falling off after screw worked itself loose
- multiple FTE's (with everything except cci stingers)
- is now failing to fire about every third round...
from what I understand though, many others have cycled several hundred rounds with none of the same issues...

I just took mine back to the dealer, they are giving me another one. I have the option of getting a refund as I just bought it. i am debating if i should take refund, it is a really cool looking gun and cheap to shoo too...

Found this post on another forum. Not sure which bolt he's referring to.........

I have a Mk-22 and the weapon started to have problems firing. It would not fire at least 1 round out of every magazine I would fire. I could see where the firing pin hit the round, so I just dissmissed it as using bulk ammo. I bought some match grade ammo an went to the range, this time I found that the weapon only would fire about 10 rounds out of a 22 round clip. I took the weapon apart and found that there is an alan bolt in the rear of the weapon that keeps the reciever in place. this bolt loosened up just slightly and would cause a FTF if the reviever moved slightly forward. I found as you shoot this the bolt will loosen, and the looser it gets the more failures you will have. I added locktite tightend the bolt. i have since put over 1000 rounds through it with out 1 FTF or cycling problem usuing match grade ammo. I was very frusterated with the gun at first, and now I would be hard pressed to get rid of it, it is a joy to shoot.

Also Some people are holding onot the mag while firing and in the owners manual it states that this will cause cycling problems as well. Hope this helps.

OP,

Golden Bullet isnt exactly good ammo. Try something a little better. Federal Bulk or Winchester 555 are my go to choices for reliability and price.

Wether its for guns, electronics, cars, or whatever else, i never buy a product that has just come out on the market. I let other people be the guinea pigs :p

Im headed to the range tmrw after work. I plan to test 4 ammo varieties. I picked mine up at epps and they gave me a 100rnd pack of rem. viper ammo as the salesman insisted that many people have problems because they are not using High velocity ammunition.
I'll test CCI Blaser
Rem-subsonics
Rem-thunderbolt
Rem-Viper
I'll post my results for comparision.

There were so many, many, many negative online reviews, videos and warning about this rifle. The deep rooted flaws aren’t something like a cheap plastic stock (though it has that in spades) but poorly designed mechanical flaws. These are flaws that can’t be fixed with some lock tight they are designed into the gun. THIS IS NOT A FN SCAR, it’s a ####ty rifle dressed up to look like one.

Not only is this a miserable rifle to shoot but it is a dangerous rifle to shoot. I've heard of so many rounds detonating in the chamber and as it was being extracted. Sooner or later someone is going to get it in the eye and then this rifle will be prohibited.

If the store you bought it from is offering a refund I would take it before they change their minds. I'll stick with my 15-22, at least there is hope on the horizon and it has yet to try to kill me.

What dealer is offering refunds ?

While i agree with you in regard to the scar, the 15-22 is not at all a proper stand in for it.

That sounds to me like it could be more of an ammo problem than a rifle one. Do you have any details? I'm not ready to blame the rifle until I get more info

North Sylva's response to my MK22 concerns due to the overwhelming bad press this rifle is getting.................

First off, I would probably take anything you read on the internet with a grain of salt, as there seems to be as much misinformation than information.

That being said, about 500 of these have been imported and send out to dealers now. In fact, we can't keep up to the demand. We are constantly hearing positive reviews on these rifles so far.

The only complaint we've heard is that one of the rifle's came from the factory without a front sight. A fairly easy fix.

I recommend you shoot your new toy and come to a conclusion regarding it's performance once it's had some rounds through it.

Thanks,

Who's actually enjoying their MK22 ....Anybody?
Would be nice to hear from someone that's actually happy with their purchase !

We're idiots that get what we deserve.
We demand tacticool looking black rifles with rails and lights and all kinds of junk. We post pics of shotguns with 14" barrels and bayonets??
We want .22's with 50 round drum mags, flash hiders(?) and bipods for the hoards of zombie rabbits(squirrels?) that threaten to over run our position.

In the old days we just wanted good guns that worked reliably.
