My son had dropped his rifle in soft snow out hunting. Soft fall in powder, brushed it off and never gave it another thought until a bit later that day. He couldn't flip the wing lever off of safe position. I guess he used more force then normal and it moved to the fire position. After that he couldn't flip it back to the safe position.
You can hold the wing to the safe position and it works but if you let go the safety is off. It won't stay in the safe position.
Any thoughts on this, or off to a gunsmith is the answer.
