Hi thanks for reading this thread first of all!
Here's my problem today I was sent a letter regarding my PAL and I was told to call the RCMP, so I did. I called in and I was asked for the reason to why I want a PAL, I said I wanted to be a gun collector, in which return he said it was "stupid" and it's not a reason. So then basically I was forced to pick another reason from a list he gave me, and one of them was going to the shooting range, so I picked that one. I have no intention of going to a shooting range, hunting or the other options he gave me. So then he asked me the procedure to bring a gun to a shooting range (keep in mind that I took this test over a year ago, and I'm a university student in the middle of finals, so so I forgot a lot of the details) I said you would need documents to show that your only going to the range and stuff and keep the ammo and gun separately. At the end he basically said I don't really want to give you the PAL because of you're lack of knowledge(even though I answered his question but I couldn't answer in exact details because I haven't even thought about this subject for a year) and your "stupid" reason.
So my question to you guys is, was I wrong to say that my reason for wanting a PAL was to be a gun collector? And what should I do in this case.
