Hey Guys,

I've got my front sight post as low as it will go and I'm still grouping 4" low at 50y.
1. Has anyone else had this problem?
2. Has anyone called Kel-Tec about this?
3. Are there different size post out there on the market to help this problem?

I'm shooting Winchester White Box 55gn FMJ.

Thanks,
Trevor

You should have bought an AR is what I'm thinking:nest:

I am wondering how it zeros with the original forestock. Perhaps there is a weird pressure on the barrel or lack there of? I understand that the SU suffers from significant zero shift when the stock bi-pod is used compared to when it is not?

I would say if it is grouping tight, don't worry about if you are "supposed" to file the sights. Just make it zero to the sights. Purely my opinion.

Hence why I got the cluster rail and placed the AR flip up sights on it. Cause the stock sights stink I.M.O.

I had no problem with mine, still took it of and installed a custom muzzle brake. then scoped it... have a look ;) at my signature

Yeah the stock sites are ok on it and I had no problem getting it on target when I first got the rifle but the CASV and some nice flip ups is much better.

If he had got the AR instead of the SU16 he would not be out chasing varmints, he would have been stuck at the range where good sights don't matter.

I agree with your first point but completely disagree with the last. Putting rounds where you mean to is always important.

And I have always had more trigger time and more rounds on target at a range then hunting anything.

There is a lot more to hunting than shooting. Shooting is actually a pretty minor part of it. But man, making empty cases is always a hoot and that is where my love of range time comes in.

Now if the government would finally acknowledge that an AR 15 does not meet any technical requirement for restricted status and fix it's designation, then the discussion would be moot.
