I thought at times it might never happen, but my dream build is finally done right down to the sling and flip sights. Thanks to those of you here that sold me some of the accessories on the forums (and the gun Questar).

I tried to take "magazine like" photo's of it which turned out ok but a bit grainy because I needed more light. Anyway here's the list.

* Lewis Machine and Tool MRP QCB 16" non compliant Defender model AR
* Rock River Arms 2 stage Match trigger polished and greased
* AimPoint Comp M4 red dot
* AimPoint Front and Rear Flip lens caps
* Troy Industries HK style front flip sight
* Troy Industries M4 Rear flip sight
* Troy Industries Pro Grade Sling Adapter with swivel clips
* Specter Viper 1 point tactical sling
* Magpull Forward battery assist device
* Tango Down forward Assist QD grip
* Viking Tactical Light mount bracket
* Phoenix 210 lumen e series flashlight
* And a bunch of 10 round mags stuck together with 2 sided endplate clips

Here's the pics

I really like your build. How's the SOPMOD stock? you like it?

I'm new to AR's so at first I held it like I would a hunting rifle and I found the stock too low and a bit odd. But then I watched "the art of the tactical carbine" and learned (duh) that I should hold it just like I do my pistol for shooting IPSC, shoulders squared, knees bent weight forward, with the stock more on my chest than on my shoulder. In this position with my read and shoulders kind of hunched forward the rifle comes up and cheekwelds right dead centre of my optic. If I hold form properly I can lower and raise the rifle without moving my body and the SOPMOD stock welds up at just the right spot.

Hope that helps.

whats going on with that boltcatch? never seen one like that before? how does it work and do you like it?

Yup like the previous member said it lets you drop the carrier without having to actuate the paddle on the other side of the rifle. For me the best part about this is when I forget to count (or count wrong) how many rounds I have left and empty a mag (locking the carrier back) I can reload just as if there was one round left chambered. The only difference is as I move my finger into the trigger guard to shoot I push the little tab and everything locks up ready to go. It is also much easier to lock open the action without taking your hand off the pistol grip. Pretty cool and cheap $29 from brownells.
