I spent so much time hemming and hawing .. not being able to decide on a rifle. Welp, that indecisiveness has finally ended .. I'm heading to Dark Int. to pick up my M14 :D

I must admit, he's a hard guy to get ahold of, but once you do, Rodger seems to be the most friendly 'dealer' I have ever delt with!

I will post pics when I return .. coincidentally I was told that I can show up anytime as he'll be there till 3am! What a night hawk :p

Thanks guys for all the gentle (and sometimes not-so-gentle) nudges in the right direction!

I called Rodger too. Must have talked for an hour, sounds like a good guy, but like you say -really difficult to get a hold of. He checks the head space on each M 14 and test fires it twice to make sure it feeds/ejects properly. Let us know how it is when you get it. I've one on order from him too- just waiting for my P.A.L. to come in. :dancingbanana:

So the transfer went over without a hitch!

I drove out there to find a rifle that has had the flash hider unwelded so he could replace it (wasn't happy with the one that was on it), the headspace checked (not sure what it is, but he said it checked out ok), completely cleaned and greased .. and the bolt! I get it home, slam the bolt home and I get a GOOD 5 seconds of singing .... the front sight is completely level (which I think is why he replaced the flash hider), the rear sight assembly seems to click just fine (but I will probably replace it anyhow with a garand rear sight assembly).

It did take me 2 1/2 hours of 'chatting' before I could leave lol .. he is such a great guy!

Ultimatly he said so long as I dont abuse the rifle, if it ever has a problem, he will fix it.

I definatly thank all of you who mentioned for me to wait for Rodger .. definatly worth the wait!

I'll be taking 'er to the range tommorrow and put about 20 rounds through her to test it out .. I'll definatly update everyone on how it shoots!

Oh, almost for got to mention that the hole in the rear sight is ACTUALLY centered as well!!!
