I could swear that the Beretta bm59 looks suspiciously like a m14, but military rifles are not my strength so what do i know.

The BM59 and the M14 are similar,but very different.They are both the off spring of the M1 garand.
I just wanted to see if anyone knew anything on the status of these? John mentioned that some would come stateside, I want to find out where so I can get on the list. I have to have one of these!

As johnone has stated in earlier threads, these are M-14 clones, not BM59's. Unfortunately, the BM59 design is prohibited by name, so they are a no go.
