itchy finger for new waterfowl gun

I own a Browning Silver and I like it a lot, but if I had to replace it tomorrow I would probably chose the SX3 over it. There is not enough difference between the 2 for me to justify the price difference, I can put that extra 100-200 dollars towards ammo or other gear.

I agree with respects to the internals as both guns have the same gas system. But I personally prefer the Browning Silver's aesthetics over the Winchester SX3. I think the Silver's higher quality walnut alone is worth the extra $100 (+\-) price difference. Im also not a big fan of the matte black barrels that most of the new SX3's come with. I prefer the deep polished blue barrels of the Silver. I also preferred the semi humpback receiver vs rounded receiver, so the best decision would depend on gun fit

I agree with all of these points...

Not the way I shoot on divers... I could starve a medium sized retriever...

Reading this post just gave me an adreneline rush.....not only am i losing sleep over the soon approaching duck season....my blood starts to boil over thinking about those awesome bufflehead hunts. Picking off a bufflehead drake going 60mph is hands down the most fun you can have with your cloths on

I have had a few offers to buy, but have looked at what is local.SX3 black shadow for 950,I like it. M2 field for 1450, buddy shoots one and works 100%. A Maxus 3" for 1200. Still not sure what why to throw my money. Just shooting my Baikal make sense, but that has never stopped me before. I looked at a used A300 but was not sure. So long story short-still not sure of what way to jump. :) Not the worst problem I've had.

It's even more fun with your clothes off... depending on company... usually just an embarrassed dog...

I've also felt the itch after picking up my bird license on the weekend. I've got lots of hardware already, but I don't have a semi. I don't want to drop the coin on an A400, but I was looking at a few like the Franchi Affinity, Beretta A300 and the Mossberg 930. Not sure what direction to go in.

My A400 extreme unico has been a fantastic shotgun. Light and fast to point with very manageable recoil thanks to the kick-off system. The texture of the pistol grip and the forend are wonderful when things get wet. Super grippy without being annoying. I would certainly recommend it.

Thanks,
Cal.

i bought and sold an A400 wood with KickOff and GunPod. Loved it.
I also have an A300 camo that was half the price...and just as much fun.
A300 isnt as refined as an A400, but it works just as good. Ducks won't care.
