Ithaca 37

Just the barrel? Much easier to buy any old barrel and cut it down to 18”. Serial number must be above 855,000. Anything earlier than that isn’t interchangeable.

I once talked to the noted Ithaca gunsmith Ron Sharpe, and according to him, the post 855,000 barrels aren't necessarily interchangeable.

They'll mate to a receiver just fine, but there may be headspace issues.

Ron Sharpe, Sharpe's Guns (905-774-6368), is the Canadian expert on all things Ithaca.
He used to be the manager of the Ithaca repair plant in Dunnville.
Other option is to have a gunsmith cut the barrel down.
Ron Sharpe's info should really be stickied.

Has ron not retired and sold off everything as of a coupke years ago? I know his health had degraded. I shot with a good friend of his and had asked about getting my 4e looked at and at that time he was no longer in business. Our mutual friend has since deceased
Id love a canadian ithaca repair centers info though

I am on the look out for an Ithaca shotgun myself (Featherlight or Waterfowl both with a 3" chamber) and have looked into things regarding who to buy from in Canada etc.

I contacted Ithaca and got a quick response today with this info:

We do not have any dealers in Canada, as we do not ship outside the United States. You can make a purchase through one of the following two companies. #####Armory 3850 W 2nd St., Yucca, AZ 86438. Their phone number is 844-357-3030.... Prophet River Firearms, 5012 50th Ave., Lloydminster, AB Canada T9V 0W7. You can contact them at 780-875-0575, and their website is www.prophetriver.com.

Thank You for contacting
Ithaca Gun Company
Patty Cooper.
USA All the Way!!
Phone: 419-294-4113

If you're going to go with either option you will be paying in USD for the gun/part and , shipping within the US, import fees as well as duties and taxes. Then you could be paying shipping fees in Canada (depending on how the individual business breaks down its fees etc.).

As Leg has suggested you'd be better off getting the barrel chopped, there are a few Ithaca 37's for sale on here at reasonable prices and that would avoid you having to worry about issues mating a barrel to a receiver that wasn't its original.

I hope this info helps
