Picked up an O/U 20ga boxlock Model 500......that has Made in Japan as well as Ithaca Gun Co, Canada, Dunville, ON stamped on the bbl.
Could this be a SKB made shotgun? My book on Modern Gun Values (12th Edition) lists under SKB section a 500 that looks exactly the same although there is no info under Ithaca section pertinent to any 500 model.
The firearm in question is in Exc+ condition and very tight, single selective trigger, auto ejectors, 3" chambers, 26" bbls with fixed chokes - IC & Mod.....nice engraving all over the receiver and trigger guard. From the looks of it the previous owner did not expose it to the elements at all
It was more an impulse buy as I don't have any experience with Ithaca but the shotgun fit was perfect and it is beautiful
