Ithaca 72 Saddlegun Help

Hey all,

I need a new spring for a Ithaca 72 Saddlegun. Numrich has none in stock. Can anyone who has one of these take a pic of the spring for me and possibly suggest a suitable substitute?

The Henry H001 is almost identical according to many internet sources. I can't confirm that, but it might be worth a try.

Would that be the locking bar spring that broke (item #17)? It happened to me. I found a spring in my goodies box that fit, there's nothing special about it. I just trimmed it to length. Yes, the Ithica M72 is the same as the Henry H001 lever rifle. Numrich has a parts diagram as you noted. If you need the dimensions of this particular spring, give me a PM.

Hey Jim, I too have an older Ithica M72 and when my spring broke, I used the Henry H001 parts diagram to find the part I needed. I compared the parts diagram against my rifle and could not find any differences. The Rimfirecentral.com website has some more information on this as well. Apparently, ERMA in Germany made/makes both the Ithica M72 and the Henry H001 rifles.
