Was bored tonight, so I measured the muzzle inside bore diameters of several 12 gauge M37/87 Ithaca barrels:
M87 marked 20 inch, for a 7 shot M37, about 0.711
M87 marked 14 inch, about the same as above, maybe 0.710
M37 marked DSPS 20 inch barrel, 0.691-0.693
One other barrel was at Silverback's home,
M87 20 inch DSPS, for a 7 shooter, about 0.720
he measured it.
M37 20 inch owned by Silverback, about 0.740
(perhaps backbored for better patterns!?! Our guess....)
M87 marked 20 inch, for a 7 shot M37, about 0.711
M87 marked 14 inch, about the same as above, maybe 0.710
M37 marked DSPS 20 inch barrel, 0.691-0.693
