Not really sure.
Hello all, Well I just purchased an Ithaca M37 in 12 gauge, featherlight with a 28 inch bbl. I took it out for a test today, put a box of skeet loads through it and she works flawless, action was very smooth. Now what I'm wondering is what sort of mechanical issues should I keep an eye out for?, this gun is used and was produced between 1980-1985, also reintroduced for 1996 and discontinued in 1997.

The gun seems to be in VG-Excellent condition. I'm also wondering if anyone out there can direct me to or, supply me with a complete manual on M37's so I know how to strip them and clean them properly.

I'm still a newb, only 19 and have had my firearms licence, and collecting for a year and a half now.
Let me know what you fellas have for me for insightful information, cheers.:beerchug:

Next time you are at the range try this for ####s and giggles, Load it up and fire the first round, keep the trigger depressed and start pumping as fast as you can til shes empty. Ah, now thats fun. One of the only pump shotguns out there with a disconnector, I love my 37 featherweight.

Actually, without a disconnector....

The winny model 12 didn't - hehehe man that gun could rock and roll :)

The ithica's are nice - congrats on the new noisemaker!

I got the exact same gun as you. Never had a single problem except the barrel burning my hands when i am not payin attention, when she gets used she gets used a lot. A lot of times have been spent crap shootin with it too. As stated before load'er up, hold down the trigger and have at it.

My 37 from the mid 70's hates cheap shells like Fiocchi. Some won't eject and you have to take the barrell off to get the shell out. Other than that, never had a problem.

It was my first gun and I still have it! I was 15 and bought it from Eaton's in Toronto. My mother had to come with me and I remember riding the Brand new Subway, Wow I'm Getting old!!!!!!!!!,anyway it has 1000's of rounds through it never had a problem,Good luck JITC
