Very good condition

Has not been used much, one mod was done- butt stock shortened and recoil pad added. Will post photos.

The Ithaca 37 is an excellent gun but getting a decent price for them when selling them is difficult.

The average M37 will go from $175 to around $300, depending on condition, deluxe or not, vent rib, etc. I have bought and sold a number of them over the years and I still have a couple of them in my safe.

Good luck!

Like duke1 said, getting what they're worth is difficult. That's why I still have my Ithaca's :D. Lets see some pics and a rough (not the actual) serial # so we can determine the year of manufacture.

Look on the EE, do a search and you'll get an idea.

I paid $290 a few years ago for a 20 gauge, but 20s are a bit harder to find. I think your average 2 3/4 -inch Model 37 is a $150 to $250 gun.

There's some real canoe paddles out there that realistically should be priced around $100 to $125.

I had one very similar to this one, although mine was the "T" or Trap version. It was also mint. I sold mine for 300.00 on this site. I find Ithacas in good shape tend to sell for more than average. They are very well built.

If you reload empties eject at your feet and no trigger disconect for rapid fire ie law enforcement /pest control 2 legged and 4...............Harold *I have a 1950's 20ga for grouse

Like has already been said, great shotguns, but it's tough to get a good price for them for some reason. I've bought two, in decent shape, for less than $200 total.

I've got one DOM 1975. Two stocks one with pad, smooth bore Deer slayer rifle sighted slug barrel and 28" VR mod. barrel. Extremely mint condition and i can't get$500.00 for the works!!

Canadian prices for Ithaca pumps are hard to understand sometimes. The Blue Book is really an educated guess at the American market value for various guns and doesn't usually reflect the Canadian market. Just out of curiosity, I looked up M37's in it. For the standard field grade M37, the US market is much like ours - $145 (60%) to $360 (100%). That's where the similarities end. There's a lengthy list of trap models, presentation grade models, etc., that fetch much higher prices.

You don't see many of those in Canada. When you do, the prices aren't significantly higher than the field grade.

I was told it is because they're not suitable for steel shot and thus no good for what the majority of people buy shotguns for, waterfowling...I also wondered, they're such a great gun and last forever.
I've seen really nice ones at the gun shows for $175...

Most of these older guns (50s,60s,70s) from the pre-steel era are just fine opened up to modified and used in waterfowling, it's just that many think they just HAVE to have a three-incher and most older guns are in 2 3/4 only.

That could be part of it, but it doesn't explain why other 2 1/2" to 2 3/4" chambered pumps sell for more in the same market.

Just like these other pumps, the Ithacas are still good upland guns, can be used with clay sports, and make good camp/bear defense/zombie guns.
