Anybody have an idea of the value of the gun if in good condition...think a could have a good deal on one....but cant find info on it...

I think it was made by SKB or something like that..

Any info would help thank you..

Its a 12ga ventilated over/under shotgun chambered 2-3/4''.

IMHO the SKB shotgun made for Ithaca is kind of sleeper. It was first made, when few Japanese gun companies had a foothold in USA gun markets, and these are good quality items for the then market asking price. Mostly because much more expensive shotguns from Europe and what came off the top end Browning line to fill this niche of walking around bird guns. Bear in mind, many of these older guns are not rated for steel shot in thier original form.
Myself I paid about 700 dollars for this used, O/U shotgun in 3 inch 20 gauge, and I feel the price was reasonable. A used SKB/Ithaca 12 gauge, made for field shooting/hunting & fixed chokes, should market for a little less, (about $600) as long as it's in very good to excellent condition.

My two cents.........and I wonder what others will say?

They can be subject to firing pin and spring malfunctions. But the supplier in Ohmaha is excellent. I have a 600 model and prefer it over the Beretta 680 or the Browning Citori. jmho

Yea, I have a 20gauge and it has a sear spring issue, close it up and it goes bang, something to do with the sears and the selectable barrel button.

I have an SKB 500 just like you are looking at.
In perfect condition it's a deal for $250.
Even if it needs a repair it's likely still a good deal.
Mine is lightweight and shoulders like a dream,it's a joy to shoot.
Does the one you are looking at have 30" barrels?

If you can find an that o/u Ithaca/skb model 500 in good working condition for $250 that is one hell of a deal. I just sold one for $600 and I think I sold it low. They are a quality built gun. I have used them and they are very nice, well built firearms.

NB: I would not shoot steel out of them as was mentioned above

At $250 you are getting a very good gun at half price or better! ( I think it's worth more like $600-$700) I have a 20 ga. in excellent shape and am in the process of selling it to a good friend for $700, Stephen Bodio in his book "Good Guns" rates the SKB O\U as one of the best and under-appreciated values out there.

ok thank you everyone...the only thing that hold me back is that you cant change de choke!!!!

But as i can see its a very good gun and a good price...think ill take it..
