Hello all: I picked up a Ithaca model 51 magnum the other day. More into rifles but the shotgun looked great and the price appeared quite reasonable. Anyway what do people think of these? Any good for trap?

They did have a bad rep for breaking parts mostly springs and buffers. Parts are scarce this side of the border. It would make a trap gun but better choices are out there. They are a very nice looking gun. I remember lusting for one as a kid. Had to settle for a 870. Not much money in farming in those days.
