Ithaca model 900 recoil operated

Have a question regarding these recoil operated Ithaca’s. I avidly collect this model and am looking for to particular 20 gauge variants one with the dog and pheasant etching , one with the rabbit and partridge etching . Now my question is were there any imported or made in Canada, I’ve only found one in a gun store many years ago. Any lead’s would be appreciated

I worked on one in 20ga for a guy last year and remember a few more over the years being around

A couple of years ago there was the rabbit engraved one in a gun store in Red Deer so they are around. I have an XL gas version in 20 but they are not common either.

I can buy a gas operated but I love the long recoil action version more . Just a nostalgia thing I guess . I’m willing to pay too dollar

Again the recoil operated action is what I want. Preferably in decent condition ( gold leaf not faded etc

I have a 20ga in the 1900 model I love it, have a XL 900 in 12ga nice also.

John is it the long recoil action? I held one in a gunstore once and it was perfect for balance fit everything. But my old man convinced me “ you don’t need a 20 guage full choke gun when you can get a Benelli supernova with three chokes”
