Not really sure.
Hello everyone, well I put a few boxes through my M37 ithaca today and now shes acting up. The problem is that now I cannot pull the trigger, it wont drop the pin its stuck, sometimes she wont rack back entirely also getting stuck 2/3 through the stroke. I sprayed some action cleaner inside and it dident do anything. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how to solve it?.
I just bought the god damn thing I hope shes not a dud.

Alright well I took the stock off, I found a big chuck of mushed up lead which fell out of the trigger assembly area. I took the trigger assembly out and inspected it, doesnt seem to have any damage done to it, not much crud. Problem is the trigger still wont pull for some reason, its not tripping the hammer? so what should I do. Drop it in some oil and try to flush debries out possibly? or us the air compressor to blow it out?.

A gunsmith can likely clean 'er up and take a good look at the rest of it while he's at it for about 30 bucks or so - might save you some greif :)

Try calling Ron Sharpe in Dunnville ON. He's the Ithaca guru...

The missing yoke is a problem. It keeps the barrel aligned and prevents torqueing from tightening the mag tube nut tight. I think a smith should have a look at the gun. You need a replacement yoke anyway. SHARP is the man to call. He has forgotten more about M37's than most smiths will learn in a lifetime.

cheers Darryl
