Just picked these two up in the past couple weeks. Ithaca 500 and 100 - both 30" barrels and F/M chokes. The 500 is neutral cast and the 100 is cast on. They both lock up nice and tight, the 100 has some blueing loss at the muzzle, some small dings in the wood but that's about it. Both are in very good shape. Haven't had a chance to shoot them yet. I may replace the rubber pad on the 100 with a plastic plate as LOP is a touch long for me.

Couple questions for those familiar with the SKB's. I was under the impression that all SKB model's came with ejectors. The 500 ejects and the 100 extracts. Would this mean the 100 has been altered or is there away of changing the setting?

Also, the 100's action lever(not sure if that's the right name? for the lever that opens the action) doesn't seem to always return to the centre depending on how you close it. Thoughts?

Sounds like the latch may be gummed up a bit , is all.
As far as ejectors and extractors go, they did make some with both IIRC
Easiest way to tell if they have been altered is to look and see if they are split.
I don't think I have ever seen paired extractors, they are virtually always one piece - however there is a first for everything !!

Well - I believe the guns were available with ejectors as an option, and given the designation 100E, 200E, etc. I have a 200E - very nice, almost delicate, shotgun.

Don't be too quick to get rid of that recoil pad. The Ithaca SKB side x sides are pretty light, designed as an upland gun to be carried all day in the field.

They kick pretty hard for a 25 shell round of clays. Still a beautiful and well made shotgun.

I will post up pics of the extractors/ejectors in a bit.

Looky and Cat - Always interested to hear of trades from you two but ya better hang some nice cheese out! I'm not looking to get rid of either of these! :)

Sorry for the slow responses. I haven't been feeling that great latelt.

Okay so the extractor on the 100 is one piece. Although it does not say 100E on the barrel. For those of you that have seen the extractor version's did it say 100E/200E on the barrel or just 100/200?

Cast on and recoil pad are definitely not factory.
