Anyone ever seen one of these shotgun in Canada ? or own one ?

I know there is a FRT for them, so there must be at least one in Canada .

From a 1982 Ithaca Law Enforcement catalog :

i saw a barrel for one of these guns on the ee about a month ago and tried to buy it but it was snapped up too quickly for me . it was a twelve gauge .

There are some 12 ga 14" barrels kicking around in Canada. I'd prefer the slightly shorter stakeout barrel in a 20 ga with a regular buttstock though.

So finally here they are, top is a 12ga Stakeout, bottom is his younger brother in 20 ga :

They fit nicely with the rest of the family :

Great thread! We don't hear enough from Ithica owners.

Indeed, nice collection there! With SBS's being relatively plentiful and affordable today, there's no reason why a guy shouldn't indulge in having lots of toys to enjoy.

The Ithicas do seem to be fairly rare in comparisson to other brands.

How does the bird's head grip compare to the pistol grip when shooting? I wonder about such things :).
You have such a well brought up family!

Didn't shoot it yet but from this video it doesn't look so bad !

But can't shoot slugs since it has a full choke on the barrel.

Man I wish I had a short Ithaca, I've got a beater sporting length model but a shorty would probably become my go-to pump.

We take it that all the Shotguns are restricted firearms?

Are the Stakeouts 14" barrels or the original 13.X" ?

Original Stakeout comes from factory with 13.5" barrels not 14", those are originals factory Stakeouts, and yes they are classed as restricted shotguns.

Very cool. Did you source them from the US?

I'd be interested in pics of the pump. I've been looking for one with the strap for ages. Found some in Canada but he wanted something ridiculous like $150. Figured it might be possible to mod an existing one.
