I'm waiting on delivery of a Ithica 37 featherweight in 20 ga. The barrel on it is choked full, and I'd prefer not to mess with the otriginal barrel, so I'm wondering about picking up another barrel- like a 26" choked IC. How hard is it to find something like this, and how tough is it do change back and forth?

Ithaca 37's with serial numbers below 855,000 (approx 1958?) have individually fitted barrels - after that the dimensions of the thread-like connection were changed and all should interchange easily.

Sharps in Dunnville Ontario may have your barrel. It will not be cheap. Mr. Sharp is a gentleman and charges for what these obsolete barrels are worth and no more. Try a google busines search under Sharp's Guns Dunnville. I have to call him soon myself for a model 37 deer slayer barrel.

I've dealt with him on several occasions, as stated above his prices are "at cost". I would'nt call them obsolete however as the design is still in production and has been proven to be just as reliable as any of the other pumps in use.
