Hey folks,

If anyone has much experience with these guys, would you mind helping me out? We have an Ithica Flues 14 in the family that was once my Grandpa's. Just trying to find out as much info as I can. I did a quick google search, so I've got the basics I think. Presumably the 14 stands for 1914? It's a double, side by side 12 gauge. That's about all the info I have right now. The gun is at my dad's place and he lives on the other side of the continent.

Thanks.

You might have a few informed responces here.
But a slightly better website for this question should be Shotgunworld dot com.
There are sub-forums for many differing categories, including older Ithaca double guns such as yours.
Of course under the larger Ithaca parent forum.

Good luck friend.

Serial number will tell us the year. I think the 14 might be referring to the chokes. With the barrels opened (or removed), there should be a letter stamped on the watertable ( flat part of the action that the barrels sit on when closed) above the gauge? If it is an S or F it will be the field grade.
