It's A BOY!!!

Ian. I didn't connect you with the stocks. I have seen your stocks on your website, they look very nice and will probably try one out when I can afford to start my next rifle plan. It is great to see A Canadian manufacture to give Mcmillan a run for thier money. Wish I had known about you before I started this one. Not nocking the mcmillan.. I do love it to.

Hey don't shoot that nickle plated brass in that thing. I can scratch things up in that beautiful custom barrel. How long is that barrel you put on there?

Yes I know I screwed up there. It was all I could get my hands on at the time, only ran 25 rnds through it and fed it very gently. The rest has been handed off to a very excited hunter. I have now reloaded a batch of 210gr ULD's from Alberta Wildcat in Nosler competition brass, Federal primer. 70.5gr 4831sc powder. Going to range to try some serious groups. and try to find the sweet load for this rifle.

Let us know how that works out for you. I just got 150 nosler brass and 16 more shots of the old stuff and I am going to try it out. I have heard from a few sources that the brass is thicker in the webbing than W-W or R-P so I will have to load down a grain or two. I shot a yote yesterday at 685 yards with a 168gr bthp match hornady in front of 79.5 gr of rl-22. Will you be cronoing those loads. How long of a barrel do you have?

Uh, LRC! I think I know a certain female shooter who is close to you that wants a custom, right?
How about one of Ian's stocks with a Ron Smith gain twist in 6.5/284, and a
Sako action and IOR scope? YOWZAA!!:D :D

One of Ian's stocks is a high potential for that rifle. It will be a little later down the road though...gotta feed this one first!!;) As for 6.5-284....she is now set on the .300 win mag. It was my mistake to let her try it ,When you get your e-mail thing fixed Cat I will send you the video....The expresion on her face say's it all.

Ya, but she wouldn't need a "muffler" on the front of a 6.5/284:D
Try my email now, it is fixed

How do you guys like the 300 Win Mag Nosler brass? We just starting bringing their brass and really haven't had a great deal of feedback.

Riley the best thing to do would be to talk to Rick at ATR and discuss the details of what you want done. There are big differences in little touches that you can save a pile of cash on or go nuts with. I won't give you an exact dollar amount on this site but I will tell you I got my full moneys worth and more. ATR can tailor build you a rifle that will out shoot your ability. Your best bet is to figure out what you want to put into the project, figure out what you want to achieve with the rifle you want built. If you are unsure about a detail i guarantee you, Rick will give you a wide variety of options being honest with the pro's and cons of each. My rifle turned out beyond my expectations and believe me they were high. Rick takes an incredible amount of pride in his work. You will not be disapointed. Take a look at the Robertson stocks before you go with Mcmillan or HS precision. He is a Canadian manufacture and had I know about him before I bought my Mcmillan I probably wold have gone that route. I will be going that route on my wife's rifle.

Feel free to PM me if you need any details.

Here's another angle! this ones for Big Ugly Man:p :p I SUCK AS A PHOTOGRAPHER!!

Sorry It took so long to respond. I have not yet run the load through a chrony but Cat the Hat has been good enough to run the #'s through his computer program and they are very close based on my come ups to 500 yrds. It is showing a muzzle velosity of 2869fps using H4831sc in Nosler competition brass and Federal Match primers. It is driveing an Alberta Wildcat 210grn ULD bullet. The barrel length is 29" the comp is 3". I think i am getting a little bit better velocity than that do to my bullet drop does not seem to be as much as the program is showing, and it may have something to do with the Microlon barrel treatment (gun juice) I am using in the rifle. It seems to be doing its job and talk about a clean barrel at the end of a shoot. It is my first time trying this stuff but this rifle sure seems to like it. I will be trying it in a few of my other rifles also.:) :D
