This year for our local rimfire shooting competition I've been tasked with purchasing the prize! The prize this year is to be a scope.

Now normally I'd just go purchase a simple NcStar (it's a free competition and prizes come out of my own pocket) for $50 and be done.

But there seems to be some stipulations this year from the rest of the "staff".

The spending limit is MAX $200 (shipping included) and the cheapest is $100 (plus shipping).

Scope must have AO and have magnification more than 3-9 (2-10, 4-12, 6-24, etc is what they want). Don't ask me why this is what was voted on before I got there....

So needless to say I'm chipping in the first $100 and I can get a MAX of $100 more out of the competition coffers.

It doesn't matter if the scope is new or used but they want the "best they can get for the price range".

So, high magnification, AO, for $200 or less, shipped. Sounds like you need an Olivon. I hear they are superior to Leupold...:)

Hey don't look at me, I'm currently saving up for a Leupold!

This is just what I was told they wanted. Im still considering just picking up a damn NcStar and telling them tough luck!

I have the scope you are looking for sitting beside. Just grabbed it to see if it was the one. But it has ring marks on it and I am not sure I want to get rid of it. Anyways I think I paid around the 130 dollar mark for it. A new one would be a good indeed work well as a prize.

Wholesale actually has a promo on for the Tasco 6-24x42 AO Varmint/Target with MilDot. Comes with a set of Stoney Point front & rear shooting bags. Great deal at $104.95, and the glass is actually quite good for that price range..Just a thought

Just go get a tasco! They have very good magnifications and AO in many assorted models all for under $200 and they are decent for their price, If not id go for the Bushnell previously mentioned
