Just one question... How can I remove the Flash Hider? It's appears to be on very tight (Red Loctite??)

Thanks

I got it... thanks... it was torqued on really really tight.
I managed to get it loose and have now got it on at 7ft/lbs :)

I dont know why they torque so tight from the factory as this can affect accuracy! 7 Lbs. will be much less stressful on the lands

A weapons tech told me that they are supposed to be torqued to 150 lb/ft.

Thats quite a bit of torque to be putting on that piece. Its just a flash hider they do not need to be screwed on that tight, it would probably strip it. The average wheel nut on a car only takes 100 lb/ft. I am assuming that as long as it does not vibrate off you should be good, there is no stress on that area.

I was told, and not saying this is 100% accurate, that the reason they are attached so tight at the factory is liability......the what if it ever came off and hit someone factor. I enquired about it when I removed one and installed a mikulak muzzle break and that was the answer. Had to heat that one to get it off also. Would like to know for sure if it is.

Yes. 150 is for BIG bolts.
