It's really cold today. Should I go looking for rabbits or wait until Thurs?

Will the bunnies be out in this cold?

I have a few hours this afternoon but it's freakin cold. Should I go to Larose forest and walk around with my rimfire for a couple hours or stay home and wait until Thursday when it's warmer? I'm not asking for any other reason than I'm not sure if those little buggers will show their heads today or be hunkered down. It's minus 20 at least...

Good luck to you! I was out in LaRose the week before Christmas when it was -21 before wind chill. Found lots of tracks and sign but nothing was moving, and rightly so! I bundled up but nearly froze certain bits off. I was since told that in cold that bad everything stays down, but good luck - hope you fare better than I did.

we were out today checking traps and shooting a few ducks and yes it was cold but once you start moving around it is very nice out DUTCH

I went out yesterday afternoon after cabin fever setting in... it was -12 and windy.. as soon as i got out of my jeep it started snowing like a bastard..

went for a walk anyways and flushed 1 partridge and saw 1 snowshoe rabbit.. unfortunately i didnt get any shots off.. but they were there.

Went, shot about 30 rounds in my secret sighting in spot before heading into the bush proper. Walked a few km's on the horse trail, came to a swamp that was frozen solid. Lots of tracks, followed them back to a couple holes. Tried scaring them out for a run, but no luck. I know where a couple wabbits live now, be vewy vewy quiet.

As a footnote, there were lots of deer tracks. And it wasn't cold at all once I got to tree cover. And I watched a beautiful sunset.
