I've had this magazine for a number of years and suspect it's from a S&W 39xx but would like verification.
It holds 8 rounds of 9mm.

Yes. 8 rd single stack.

After more searching and an image search on S&W model 39 magazine I think it's for the S&W model 39xx or 639.
