Hey folks,

Does anyone know of a business who can swap barrels on a CC IUR upper? I plan on replacing my 10 inch barrel with an 11.6 from an MRR, and I don’t foresee any compatibility issues there.

However.....I’d like to put that 10 inch IUR barrel on a standard upper receiver, and that’s where I’m concerned. Anyone here know if that’s even possible? I’ve seen some people saying it’s got some kind of proprietary threaded barrel extension.
 
The IUR barrel nut is different than the standard, but barrel nuts are easy to swap out. The extension is the same on both barrels luckily.

The Barrel off the IUR SAS 10" upper has a standard extension with M4 feed ramps, and will work with any upper receiver.

I know csc can rebarrel iur. The barrel and extension is milspec ar15/m4 so if you have the appropriate barrel nut for your handguard there should be no problems putting a cc barrel on another receiver provided it's in spec.

Thanks for all the replies everyone, I’m glad to know there’s options out there and I’ll be able to get this project rolling. It’s too bad Colt Canada doesn’t sell the barrel wrench

It'd be nice if someone had the specs on the barrel nut and then reverse engineer a wrench. I like my IUR, and I don't plan on ditching the CC barrel anytime soon, but I like to keep my options open and can't stand not having the proper tools to do so.
